P6 Planner – Power & Utilities Location: Glasgow Salary: £45K-£65K per annum Employment Type: [Permanent / Contract] Sector: Power & Utilities / Electricity Infrastructure The Opportunity Our client is a leading european specialist within the power and electricity infrastructure sector, delivering major projects across the UK & Europe. As part of continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to appoint an experienced P6 Planner to support the successful planning and delivery of major powerline and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with strong Primavera P6 experience to join an established business working on complex, high-value infrastructure projects. The Role As P6 Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting against project programmes, working closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and site personnel. Your responsibilities will include: * Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Primavera P6. * Establishing activity sequences, logic, durations, milestones and critical paths. * Updating programmes with actual progress and forecasting remaining works. * Monitoring planned vs. actual progress and identifying programme variances. * Producing short-term look-ahead programmes and detailed progress reports. * Identifying potential delays, programme risks and critical path impacts. * Supporting the project team with delay and change analysis. * Working closely with site teams to ensure programmes accurately reflect project delivery. * Producing progress curves, S-curves, dashboards and schedule reports. * Supporting project reviews and programme meetings with clients and internal stakeholders. * Ensuring programme information is accurate, current and aligned with project objectives. About You We're looking for an experienced planner who is confident working with Primavera P6 and has a background within power, utilities, energy, infrastructure, construction or a related engineering environment. You will ideally have: * Proven experience working as a Planner / P6 Planner. * Strong practical knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6. * Experience developing and maintaining complex project programmes. * A good understanding of programme logic, critical path and schedule analysis. * Experience working with project and site teams to obtain progress updates. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. * The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider project team. * Experience within the power transmission, distribution, utilities or major infrastructure sector would be highly advantageous.
