The role As Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover. You will evaluate project requirements, prepare detailed cost estimates and help us secure profitable, deliverable work. Our projects cover a broad range of mechanical services, including: * Plumbing and heating * Ventilation * Air conditioning * Sprinkler systems * Dry risers * Renewable technologies * BMS and mechanical controls Key responsibilities * Review drawings, specifications, tender documentation and employer’s requirements. * Prepare detailed estimates for design-and-build mechanical packages. * Complete accurate material and labour take-offs. * Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Build competitive tender prices covering labour, materials, plant and specialist packages. * Identify commercial risks, tender qualifications, exclusions and opportunities. * Explore value-engineering solutions without compromising quality or compliance. * Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process. * Attend tender meetings, site visits and project clarification meetings where required. * Work collaboratively with the directors and wider estimating team. * Prepare professional tender submissions and supporting documentation
