About the role

Partrac are one of Europe’s leading metocean providers for the renewables and other coastal and offshore industries. We are particularly well known for delivering high quality metocean monitoring campaigns to the growing offshore wind industry across Europe, including the floating wind sector which is developing rapidly. We are growing fast and need specialists to join our team, in order to help our clients plan and execute successful projects offshore. Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Metocean Data Analyst to join our expanding team, based in the heart of the southwest of the UK. For candidates with the right aptitude there are opportunities to be involved in a range of exciting projects, to obtain training and to grow with the company. At Partrac we’re proud to be a formative member company in game-changing offshore wind services business Venterra Group.- Degree in oceanography, marine science, data science, physics, mathematics or engineering (or equivalent) - Experience in oceanographic data processing (principally from current doppler profilers, marine sensors and wave buoys) - Advanced user of MS Excel. - Experienced in applying data QC protocols. - Experienced in writing succinct, accurate data reports. - Excellent proof-reading skills. - Ability to work to deadlines and to work on multiple projects. - Ability to present data and communicate results effectively and clearly. - We would prefer you to base yourself at our Devon office and you may find this easier if you have a driving licence (not necessary for the job) The Data Analyst is responsible for the final deliverables (data and reporting) across all measurement projects. In this role you will complete metocean data processing, report writing and quality control of measurement project outputs. Data Processing & Analysis: - • Utilise MATLAB data processing scripts and additional toolboxes. • Scrutinise data for error, outliers and potential equipment issues. • Coordinate with the team to process and analyse meteorological and oceanographic data.
