Job Title: School Caretaker Location: St Albans & Surrounding Areas Salary: £15 – £18 per hour (Depending on Experience) Start Date: ASAP Settings: Primary, Secondary & SEN Schools Company: Complete Classroom Services About Role Complete Classroom Services is currently recruiting Caretakers to work across a variety of Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in the St Albans and wider Hertfordshire area. We are looking for individuals who take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and secure school environments. Whether you have school-based experience or transferable skills from similar roles, we want to hear from you! Your Responsibilities Will Include: * Opening and closing school buildings, ensuring site security * Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance (DIY, basic plumbing, etc.) * Conducting Health & Safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency exits * Maintaining cleanliness in communal areas (indoor and outdoor) * Monitoring heating, lighting, and water systems * Supporting site setups for school events and meetings * Liaising with external contractors and reporting site issues * Ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld on school premises Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Previous caretaker or facilities experience (preferred) * Basic maintenance/DIY skills * A proactive and trustworthy attitude * Good communication skills and flexibility * An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply and pay for a new DBS) Why Work With Us? * Opportunities in a variety of school settings * Competitive hourly rates (£15–£18 per hour) * Immediate starts available * Ongoing support and advice from our dedicated team * Flexible and long-term roles to suit your availability Apply for role with your updated CV
