Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality platforms and pipelines. Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions. Actively contribute to the engineering community. Required Skills: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based platforms and infrastructure, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform (including for GCP) or Deployment Manager. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go). Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments, including GCP-specific best practices. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Ability to troubleshoot and optimise workloads for performance, cost, and reliability on GCP. Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, on-premise). Istio, Linkerd) and configuration management tools (e.g., Knowledge of site reliability engineering (SRE) principles and practices. Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer). ITILv4 Foundation certification. Familiarity with GCP AI/ML services (AI Platform, AutoML). Experience with GCP billing, cost management, and optimisation. Experience delivering complex projects from backlog through to production. Willing and eligible to obtain UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) if required.
