About the role

Assembly Technician ILocation: BAE Systems, HillendDuration: 10-Month ContractHours: Full-Time, OnsiteRate: £16.54 per hour PAYE or £22.06 via umbrella (inside IR35) We are seeking an Assembly Technician I to join a leading defence manufacturing team in Hillend. This role involves the manufacture, repair, and modification of complex Radar, Avionics, and Underwater systems within a highly regulated production environment.Key Responsibilities

Assemble products in line with technical drawings and work instructions.
Repair, modify, and rework electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Maintain accurate production and compliance records using business systems.
Work to recognised quality standards including IPC, ANSI-J, AS9100, and ISO9001.
Support continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing principles.
Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

About You

Experience in an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, PCB assembly, microelectronics, or similar.
Ability to assemble, disassemble, repair, and modify electronic or mechanical products.
Comfortable interpreting technical documentation and working to quality standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team.
