Key Responsibilities:
As a Collections Advisor, you will:
* Make outbound calls to customers to discuss outstanding balances and agree suitable payment solutions
* Manage inbound customer calls, resolving account queries professionally and efficiently
* Negotiate affordable repayment arrangements while balancing customer needs and business objectives
* Take secure card payments over the phone in line with compliance procedures
* Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems
* Deliver outstanding customer service across every interaction
* Build rapport with customers and support positive account resolution
* Work towards individual and team performance targets
Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you may have experience as a Collections Advisor, Customer Service Advisor, Accounts Receivable Advisor, Debt Recovery Advisor, or Contact Centre Agent. You’ll ideally have:
* Previous experience in collections, customer service, arrears, or a phone-based financial services environment
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Confidence handling sensitive customer conversations over the phone
* Experience taking payments and discussing account balances
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/account management systems
* Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
* A positive, resilient, and target-driven approach
