About the role

Role Overview

Otis is looking for a maintenance mechanic for the Aberdeen/Huntly/Fyvie areas to ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine service checks on a number of units across the site, recording and escalating findings to the field manager.
  • Act as the face of the business, providing updates to clients about work carried out.
  • React to sudden breakdowns, working with passengers and clients to provide technical solutions.
  • Perform minor repairs on lift and escalator units.
  • Receive intensive training in technology, processes & soft skills, and collaborate with experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Hold an NVQ Level3 in lift service, maintenance or repair.
  • Hold a driver’s licence.
  • At least24months of experience in the elevator sector.
  • Good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
  • Committed professional with safety as a priority.
  • Comfortable communicating with others and working independently or in a team.
  • Comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
