AVEVA is creating software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies.Job Title: Technical AccountantLocation: Cambridge (hybrid)Employment Type: full-timeThe JobTheTechnical Accountant role supports the Group Reporting - Technical Team on ensuring the correct reporting of transactions.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Technical Accountant in the Group Reporting - Technical Team, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):Supporting the production of the year-end financial statements;Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation;Assistance with the accuracy, completeness and documentation of fixed and variable consolidation adjustments;Data analysis for the calculation of consolidation adjustments;Assisting with calculating the required accounting adjustments for acquisitions, divestments and other transactions across the group;Assisting in documenting policies for the maintenance of the Group accounting manual; andAd-hoc support with technical accounting and reporting issues.All of these responsibilities will be performed in a SOX control environment.Skills & QualificationsIdeal SkillsQualified accountant with experience of financial reporting and consolidationsBuilding relationships quickly/interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience working within a SOX environment is desirableOrganised and able to balance conflicting prioritiesCapable of managing time and meeting deadlinesCollaborative, with good communications skillsHigh attention to detailConfident, motivated self-starterAble to comply with documented processes and proceduresUK Benefits include:Flexible benefits fund, emergency leave days, adoption leave, 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension, life cover, private medical insurance, parental leave, education assistance program.It’s possible we’re hiring for this position in multiple countries, in which case the above benefits apply to the primary location.
