About you as Deputy Head Housekeeper
Previous senior or managerial experience within housekeeping
Experience in at least 4 or 5 star hotels is desirable
Cool, calm and collected working in a busy department daily
Excellent communication details with team, managers and guests
Demonstrate professional and high standards in all areas of the role
Key responsibilities of the Deputy Head Housekeeper role
Take ownership of the department in the Executive Housekeepers absence
Support with team training, inductions, ongoing development and appraisals of team performance
Support the Executive Housekeeper with departmental projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, sustainability, guest experience, or cost optimisation
Complete required administrative duties including system knowledge as per company standards
Support the Executive Housekeeper with meeting departmental targets
Hold regular meetings with the team to ensure effective communication
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are consistently achieved
