Secondary School - Cover Supervisor
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: £100-£130 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Colchester that is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its team. This school is committed to creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Job Overview:
Full-time, Monday - Friday Cover Supervisor role.
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures.
Support students with their learning and encourage engagement throughout lessons.
Take accurate registers and report any concerns to relevant staff members.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
Provide feedback on student participation, behaviour and lesson outcomes.
Contribute to the wider school community and support students' wellbeing.

Experience working with children or young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or support role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence managing groups of students and maintaining positive behaviour.
A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
A genuine passion for supporting young people and education.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
