About the role
Our client, a well-established multi-franchise approved car dealership located in Central Bristol, is seeking a highly motivated Service Advisor to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals in the motor trade who are looking to progress within a reputable dealership group. The successful individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing vehicle repairs, and maximising upselling opportunities as a Service Advisor.

Competitive starting salary from £29,741 per annum, dependent on experience
Over £6,000 additional annual bonus potential, with some employees earning over £12,000+ per annum

Working hours from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis, paid as overtimeDuties of a Service Advisor:
Greet customers at the Service Department, booking vehicles in for repair and service work
Liaise with the workshop team to chase progress on ongoing jobs
Advise customers on minor technical issues and vehicle maintenance options
Upsell additional products and services where appropriate
Keep customers informed of repair progress and manage expectations
Take payments for completed work in an efficient and professional manner
Assist in achieving departmental sales targets and KPIs
Communicate effectively with manufacturer warranty teams for warranty authorisations and repair authorisation processes
Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and service plansRequirements of a Service Advisor:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor within the motor trade or excellent customer service background with mechanical understanding
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Organised with excellent time management and IT literacy (experience with Pinewood Pinnacle is advantageous)
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
A confident, professional manner with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
Basic mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle systems is desirable
