In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the fulfilment centre, implementing efficient processes to optimise customer order fulfilment, reduce stock waste and loss, safeguard assets, and cultivate strong teamwork.As Fulfilment Centre Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the success of your assigned Zapp location. This includes full accountability for the fulfilment centre’s profit and loss, inventory management, and operational efficiency, as well as the well-being and professional development of our frontline staff.You will collaborate with Zapp's Senior Operations Leadership to develop and execute strategies to enhance your fulfilment centre's performance. You will also ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety standards and Zapp's internal policies.Your leadership will empower your fulfilment centre team to reach their full potential, enabling them to deliver exceptional service to our customers.Responsibilities:Operational ExcellenceEnsure smooth day-to-day running of the assigned Zapp fulfilment centre.Manage and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).Ensure adherence to all Zapp policies and procedures, maintaining operational standards for the highest level of customer service.Review, refine, and uphold standard operating procedures.Team Leadership and Development Lead, motivate, train, and engage front-line staff to build and maintain a high-performing team.Security and Asset Protection Maintain the highest level of security for inventory and assets.Safety and ComplianceUphold and enhance Food Safety and Health & Safety Standards within the fulfilment centre.Facility ManagementOversee the condition and maintenance of the site and its equipment.Licensing and Regulatory CompliancePromote licensing objectives and ensure fulfilment centre license conditions are consistently met.QualificationsProven experience managing 24/7 front-line operations in a logistics, e-commerce, or retail environment.Demonstrated ability to lead large teams (15+), including management staff.Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights and implement data-driven improvements.Experience collaborating with various stakeholders (e.g. Customer Experience, Central HQ) to seek guidance and suggest enhancements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends, to support operational needs.BenefitsPrivate Health Insurance (AXA)Zapp Credit for testing the Zapp service and experience25 days annual leave plus all UK bank holidays
