About the role
Murray Recruitment are recruiting an Office Administrator for our client based in Hillington, Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused administrator to join a growing business supporting service and operations.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, office-based position responsible for managing the full post-visit administration process following engineer service and inspections. The successful candidate will compile technical reports, prepare quotations, source required parts, and issue complete documentation packs to customers efficiently and accurately. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and complete Service and LEV reports from engineer submissions
- Review engineer notes, photographs, and data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare quotations for remedial works, identifying correct parts and labour requirements
- Source parts and obtain supplier pricing and specifications
- Develop and maintain an organised parts database to support engineers with component identification
- Issue complete customer documentation packs, including reports and quotations, within agreed timescales
- Manage workflow from completion of site visits through to customer submission
- Support the Operations Manager and LEV team with queries and job progression
- Maintain accurate records, job documentation, and photo uploads
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within an administrative role, ideally in an engineering, technical, or service environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work first time
- Able to manage high volumes of work with quick turnaround expectations
- Confident interpreting technical reports, images, and engineering terminology
- Good numerical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills when liaising with suppliers and internal teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
Offering
- Salary £26,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
- Monday to Friday working hours Mon - Thurs 8.00 - 16.30 and Fri 8.00 - 15.45
- Hybrid working available (1–2 days per week) following successful completion of probation/training period
