Senior Solicitor Waverley Court The City of Edinburgh Council's in-house legal team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solicitor to join its Litigation team. Experience of housing cases, anti-social behaviour, and property litigation would be highly preferred. Experience of contentious litigation including handling cases in the Sheriff court and/or Judicial Reviews in the Court of Session would also be beneficial. You will be fully supported in a collegiate environment and encouraged to develop a full range of legal and other skills. The Litigation team provides advice to a wide range of Council services including Licensing, Housing, the Homeless Team, Social Work, Education and Bereavement Services. You will also have the opportunity to assist in other areas of litigation work. Litigation and advocacy skills will be essential to this role. The position is advertised as a full-time position, 36 hours per week, or such other hours as are agreed with the successful candidate. The Council is open to discussing flexible work arrangements.
