Mechanical Test Technician Hands-on Product Testing | Manufacturing Environment | HX5 £32,000 – £35,000 Monday – Friday | 07:30 – 16:00 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays Up to 5% Pension Contribution Looking for a practical, hands-on role where no two days are the same? We’re looking for a Mechanical Test Technician to join our growing product testing team in HX5. This is a varied, physical, and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys working with products, tools, equipment, and testing processes in a manufacturing environment. You’ll help test and validate industrial safety products, making sure they perform reliably in real-world conditions. From preparing test areas and moving materials to monitoring long-term outdoor product trials and recording results, you’ll play an important part in ensuring product quality and safety standards are maintained. This role would suit someone from a: Manufacturing Production Mechanical assembly Maintenance Product testing Workshop/technical environment background. What you’ll be doing Preparing products and equipment for testing Moving materials and products into test areas Carrying out hands-on product testing and inspections Monitoring products exposed to outdoor/weather conditions over time Recording and updating test results accurately Using tools and equipment safely and effectively Supporting continuous improvement of testing processes Working closely with a small, supportive team What we’re looking for Practical and mechanically minded Comfortable with physical/manual handling work IT literate and confident recording data and test information Strong work ethic and reliable attitude Team player with a positive approach Good attention to detail and organisation skills Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred Advantageous but not essential: FLT Counterbalance licence Experience in product testing or quality environments What you’ll get £32,000 – £35,000 salary Up to 5% pension contribution 25 days holiday + bank holidays Buy/sell up to 5 additional holidays after probation Cycle to Work scheme Eye care support Employee Assistance Programme Charity work opportunities Full training and support provided Why join us?
