About the role Peterborough College is seeking a Lecturer in Sport with a strong specialism in rugby to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is a unique opportunity to combine classroom teaching with practical coaching, delivering engaging sport courses alongside leading and developing our rugby academy programme.
You will work with students across Level 1 to Level 3, supporting both their academic progress and their development as athletes.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality rugby training sessions, managing fixtures and contributing to the AoC Sport rugby programme.
What you will be doing as a Sports Lecturer Delivering engaging sport lessons across a range of programmes Planning and delivering high-quality rugby coaching sessions Supporting the development and performance of academy rugby players Managing and coordinating fixtures within the AoC Rugby programme Assessing student work and providing clear, constructive feedback Monitoring student progress and setting SMART targets Supporting learners to achieve both academic and sporting success Contributing to course development and curriculum innovation Participating in student recruitment activities, including open events Supporting work experience opportunities and employer engagement Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment Promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performance environment What we are looking for Recent experience within a rugby coaching environment Level 2 (or above) Rugby Coaching qualification Relevant qualification in Sport (Level 3/4 or above) Strong knowledge of rugby training, performance and development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to inspire, motivate and develop young people Why work for IEG?
