The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join a growing and innovative manufacturing team based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in electronics assembly, electro-mechanical manufacturing, or technical production environments who enjoys fault finding, testing, and building high-quality products.

Working as part of a skilled operations team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, repairing, and maintaining a range of electronic and electro-mechanical products while ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electro-mechanical and electronic products
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on assemblies and associated equipment
  • Build products to detailed assembly and test specifications
  • Work with PCB assemblies, wiring looms, and electro-mechanical components
  • Complete functional testing of finished products and sub-assemblies
  • Accurately complete production documentation and quality records
  • Support product development and continuous improvement activities
  • Create and update assembly instructions and technical documentation
  • Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and professionalism
  • Support customer installations when required

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience within an electro-mechanical, electronics assembly, or manufacturing environment
  • Fault-finding and diagnostic experience
  • Knowledge of PCB assembly, wiring, and electronic products
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
