About the role

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay:£15.16 - £16.30 This is a 39 week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days. Monday - Thursday, 10:00-14:00 Monday - Thursday, 08:30-15:00 To start asap. Sanderson's Wynd is a vibrant and inclusive school community in the town of Tranent. In August 2026 our nursery is moving to a term time setting and we are looking for staff to join our team. Within our early years provision we have a 2 year old room and a 3-5 year old room and the Green Room local authority ASN nursery. We are looking for 3 Early Years support workers to support with the nurture and development of our children in our 2 Year old room and our 3-5 year old room. If you have a passion for working in the early years and are committed to providing high quality learning experiences indoors and outdoors, we would love to hear from you! To work in support of early years 'staff by contributing towards the creation of a warm, friendly, safe and caring environment for children aged 2 –5 years. Must hold an SVQ in Social Services (Children & Young People) at SCQF Level 6 (or an alternative SSSC recognised equivalent qualification). Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards gaining it. This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
