Core Hours: Monday Thursday 08:30 15:30 (with flexible start 06:3018:00), Friday 08:30 12:30 (flexible start 06:3014:00)
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Master Scheduler to join a specialist manufacturing business that provides precision components and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies to high-tech industries.
Operating within a high-precision, regulated environment, the company is experiencing continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced scheduling professional to take ownership of production planning and play a key role in driving operational performance.
You will be responsible for managing the master production schedule, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and resource availability across machining and clean assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Coordinate production activities across machining, fitting, welding, UHV cleaning, stores, and assembly
Balance customer demand with material availability, labour, and machine capacity
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to changing priorities or disruptions
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Operations teams
Analyse capacity constraints and recommend improvements to maximise efficiency and throughput
Lead scheduling meetings and communicate production priorities and risks
Track and report on KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, WIP levels, and capacity utilisation
Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems
What They're Looking For
Minimum 5 years experience in production planning or scheduling
Strong understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing workflows
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and scheduling tools
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and organisational abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment
