Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Sheffield Salary: £49,000 Shifts: This is a shift based role working Mornings (06:00-13:00), Afters (13:00-20:00) and Nights (20:00-06:00) on 1 week per shift rotation. Benefits: 31 days holiday, up to 8% pension, ongoing training & development We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, skilled team supporting a rolling mill and downstream equipment. You'll carry out mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, fault-finding on hydraulic systems, and workshop rebuilds of gearboxes, shears, spindles, and pumps. Requirements: Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent Industrial mechanical maintenance experience Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Able to read engineering drawings and work safely at heightsResponsibilities include: Overhaul and maintain mechanical equipment Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime Maintain safety and housekeeping standards Assist in production changeovers and report shift activities About Us We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
