- £100 per day

*** 1:1 and small group academic support across KS4 EnglishThe Role: Work with the English department to provide focused support for KS4 pupils who need extra help with reading, essay writing, analysis, and exam preparation.
You will deliver 1:1 and small group intervention, reinforce lesson content, and feedback clearly to teachers on pupil progress.
Secondary teachers commonly work with small groups of students and follow safeguarding procedures, which makes this a strong stepping-stone into the classroom.The Candidate: You are articulate, organised, and able to explain ideas clearly in a way pupils understand.
You want practical secondary school experience, enjoy helping students improve in English, and are keen to develop the classroom skills needed for a future in teaching.
That is, in theory, how careers are supposed to work.Requirements • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.The School: This ‘Good’ school in central Birmingham offers the chance to build valuable subject-based experience in a setting where targeted support matters.
You will join an English team where intervention has a clear purpose, staff work closely together, and pupils benefit from extra academic guidance in the run-up to key KS4 assessments.
