Hygiene Operatives / Cleaning operatives

Location: Manchester, Bury, Bolton, Radcliffe & surrounding areas Hygiene Operative: £16.54 per hour – Umbrella PAYE Team Leader / Driver: From £17.50 per hour – Umbrella PAYE Hours: Variable – weekend availability essential Start: Immediate starts available Employment: Temporary with permanent opportunities available Hawkes Resourcing Group are currently recruiting Hygiene Operatives and Team Leader / Drivers on behalf of a growing Facilities Management and Hygiene company. The company provides specialist commercial kitchen, extraction and duct cleaning services to clients throughout the UK. This is a physical, hands-on position involving deep cleaning and degreasing, and applicants need to understand that this is not a standard 9–5 job. The Role Duties will include: * Deep cleaning and degreasing commercial kitchens * Cleaning grease extraction systems, ducting and fans * Cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces * Working with professional cleaning chemicals * Working at height where required * Working within crawl spaces and enclosed areas * Completing site paperwork and photographic reports * Travelling to commercial sites throughout the UK * Working professionally around clients and other contractors on site You should be prepared for hard, physical and sometimes dirty work. We are looking for reliable people with a strong work ethic who are prepared to get stuck in and work as part of a team. Working Days & Hours Working days and hours will vary depending on client requirements and the location of each job. Weekends are generally the busiest period, so applicants must be available to work Saturday and Sunday, together with approximately two days either side of the weekend as required. This could involve working days before or after the weekend depending on the company's workload. Unsociable hours are a normal part of this position. This is not a Monday-to-Friday, 9am–5pm role. The position also involves travelling throughout the UK and overnight stays when required. Applicants must be comfortable working away from home and sharing hotel rooms with other members of the team when necessary. Essential Requirements Applicants must: 1. Hold a full UK driving licence if applying for team leader roles 2. Be proficient in Microsoft Office 3. Be willing and able to work away from home 4. Be flexible regarding working days and unsociable hours 5. Be available for regular weekend work 6. Be comfortable sharing hotel rooms with team members when required 7. Be comfortable using professional cleaning chemicals 8. Be comfortable working at height, including ladders and roofs 9. Be physically fit and capable of working in crawl spaces and enclosed areas 10. Have good communication skills when dealing with colleagues and clients 11. Have excellent timekeeping and reliability * Be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check Desirable Experience & Qualifications The following would be advantageous but are not essential: Previous experience cleaning commercial kitchens and/or duct systems Knowledge or previous experience of TR19 standards COSHH training Asbestos Awareness Pay Hygiene Operative – £16.50 per hour (Umbrella PAYE) Team Leader / Driver – From £17.50 per hour (Umbrella PAYE) Applicants interested in the Team Leader / Driver position must be confident taking responsibility for a team and driving for work purposes.
