About the role
We are recruiting an experienced and reliable CNC Router Operator to join a busy manufacturing and production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on CNC routing experience who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC routing machinery, interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, monitoring production, and ensuring finished components meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC router machinery safely and efficiently.
Load materials and prepare machines for production runs.
Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and job sheets.
Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machine settings.
Load and run CNC programs and make adjustments where required.
Carry out accurate measurements and quality checks on finished components.
Monitor machining operations and identify potential issues before they affect quality or productivity.
Change router bits, tooling, and consumables as required.
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
Minimise material waste and support efficient production processes.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
Work closely with production, design, and manufacturing colleagues to meet deadlines and production targets.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience operating CNC routers or similar CNC machinery.
Good understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and measurements.
Confidence using measuring equipment and checking finished components for accuracy.
Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to identify machining issues.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
Reliable attendance and a positive approach to meeting production deadlines
