Job DescriptionJava Developer ReactLocation - LondonOn-Prem 3 Days per WeekTalan is looking for a talented Java Developer with React experience to join our team delivering cutting-edge Front Office solutions within Global Markets environments.You will play a key role in designing and enhancing regulatory, alerting, and sales enablement platforms, directly supporting front-office users and business stakeholders across capital markets.This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact, real-time applications in complex trading environments, collaborating with both business and technical teams to drive innovation and performance.You will be part of a Front Office technology ecosystem supporting Global Markets activities, working on advanced sales and trading tools used by front-office teams.The role operates within a distributed, agile delivery model, collaborating closely with:Business stakeholders (sales & trading)Application support teamsQA and testing teamsDistributed development teams across Europe and globallyYou will contribute to the development of modern, scalable applications used in fast-paced, business-critical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain front-office sales tools and associated applicationsContribute across the full software development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support)Build and enhance high-performance, low-latency applicationsDevelop RESTful APIs and modern web interfaces (React)Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutionsWork alongside production support teams to ensure smooth releases and operational stabilityProvide 3rd line support and assist in troubleshooting production issuesParticipate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiativesSkills & Experience (Required)Strong experience in Java (server-side development)Experience building web-based applications and REST APIsSolid experience with JavaScript frameworks, particularly ReactGood understanding of application performance and optimisationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to operate effectively in agile, collaborative environmentsExperience with relational databases and SQLExposure to investment banking or capital markets environmentsExperience with multi-threaded and distributed systemsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity) and deployment tools (Ansible)Knowledge of front office trading systems (FX, Rates, Credit, or derivatives)Experience with monitoring and observability toolsStrong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approachAdditional Information#TalanUKSummaryType: Full-timeFunction: ConsultingExperience level: Mid-Senior LevelIndustry: Information Technology And Services
