Senior Environmental Specialistð London | International Projects | Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)Are you an experienced environmental professional looking to work on some of the world's most complex infrastructure projects?We're working with a globally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to join its established London-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure, transport, urban development and planning projects across the UK, Middle East and Africa.The Opportunity:You'll lead and contribute to Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), EIA, ESMS and strategic environmental projects, working alongside technical specialists and project managers on high-profile international developments.This role offers a blend of technical leadership, project management, client engagement and business development, with opportunities for international travel and exposure to globally significant projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead environmental and social assessment workstreams on major infrastructure projectsDeliver ESIA, EIA, ESMS and related environmental studiesCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist consultantsSupport client engagement, proposal development and business growth activitiesMentor junior consultants and contribute to team developmentTravel internationally as required to support project deliveryAbout You:You'll bring:5+ years' experience in ESIA/EIA consultingStrong report writing and project delivery skillsExperience within a multidisciplinary consultancy environmentKnowledge of international environmental and social safeguard standards (IFC, World Bank, EBRD, AfDB or similar)Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA degree (and ideally postgraduate qualification) in an environmental, ecological or related disciplineHighly Desirable:Ecological impact assessment expertiseInternational project experience, particularly across Africa or the Middle EastUnderstanding of UK EIA legislation and planning processesProfessional membership (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM, IES or equivalent)Additional language skills such as Portuguese, French or SpanishWhy Apply?Competitive salary and benefits packageSignificant international project exposureOverseas working uplifts and per diem allowancesGenerous employer pension contributionMedical insurancePerformance-related bonusLong-term career development within a globally respected consultancyIf you're passionate about delivering sustainable infrastructure and want to work on projects that shape communities around the world, we'd love to hear from you.Apply Now!Allen & York - delivering Sustainable Recruitment Solutions since 1993.About us Allen & York have been matching purposeful people with purpose-led organisations for 30 years.
