SWAN Autism Scotland (SWAN) is looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

SWAN is a national charity. We support autistic women, girls and non-binary people across Scotland through peer support, information and advocacy.

This is an important role. You will help the Board understand SWAN’s finances and make well-informed decisions. You will support good financial management and help ensure the charity is sustainable.

You do not need to have been a Treasurer before. If you have experience of working with financial information and can explain it clearly to others, we would like to hear from you.

What the role involves:

• Attending Board meetings and contributing to discussions.

• Reviewing financial information (such as budgets and reports).

• Supporting good financial oversight and decision-making.

• Helping ensure the charity meets its financial responsibilities.

Time commitment:

• Around 10-15 hours per month.

• Board meetings are held on Zoom, approximately every six weeks.

We welcome applications from:

• People with different backgrounds and experiences.

• People who may not meet every requirement but can demonstrate relevant skills.

• Neurodivergent candidates

We can make adjustments to our recruitment process. If you need any changes or support, please let us know.

To apply, please submit a tailored CV and a covering letter (no longer than two pages), outlining your relevant skills and experience for the role, by  midnight on Sunday May 17, 2026.

For a confidential, informal discussion about the role, please contact Fizza Islam, LHH Glasgow office.
