Job Description The company /n A leading UKregulatory body is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its growingEnforcement Policy team. Working in a highly respected public interestenvironment, you will help shape policy and provide legal guidance on complexinvestigations, enforcement activity and regulatory decision-making. /n This is anopportunity to work on high-profile matters with genuine public impact,alongside lawyers, investigators, accountants and senior stakeholders acrossthe organisation. The role /n Reporting intothe Head of Enforcement Policy, you will play a key role in advising on thelegal and policy issues arising from complex investigations and enforcementcases. /n This is a broad,non-traditional role combining legal advisory work, policy development andstrategic support. You will help ensure policies and procedures remain legallyrobust and up to date, provide advice to investigation teams, support majorprojects and oversee a Legal Assistant. /n Keyresponsibilities include: /n /n - Advising on legal and policy issues arising from investigations and enforcement activity. /n - Reviewing and developing policies, procedures and guidance. /n - Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments. /n - Drafting briefing papers and advice for senior stakeholders. /n - Supporting strategic projects across the organisation. /n - Providing pragmatic ad hoc legal advice. /n - Supervising and developing a Legal Assistant. /n - Working closely with lawyers, investigators, accountants and senior leadership teams. /n /n This role offerssignificant variety and would suit somebody who enjoys solving complexproblems, managing competing priorities and working across a wide range oflegal issues. To succeed /n You will be aqualified Solicitor or Barrister with approximately 6-10 years' PQE (guidelineonly) and experience gained within a regulator, public body, governmentdepartment or similar environment. /n You will ideallyhave: /n /n - Strong public sector and/or regulatory experience. /n - Experience advising on policy development and implementation. /n - A background in investigations, enforcement or complex civil litigation. /n - Excellent analytical and drafting skills. /n - The ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders. /n - A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach. /n - Experience managing multiple work streams simultaneously. /n - A collaborative and personable style. /n /n Candidates do notneed prior experience within this specific regulatory sector.
