The Austin Company's UK office is looking for a Senior Mechanical Building Services (HVAC) engineer, with 8+ years of practical experience working in the UK.

What will you be doing

• Delivering mechanical HVAC engineering assignments ranging from desktop studies to discipline design. This may involve taking on the lead role of the full design
• HVAC and Public Health mechanical designs, plus supporting the site delivery as part of a wider Austin’s projects team
• Working on several projects in parallel, leading and guiding the mechanical engineers. You will take ownership of the mechanical designs, delivering to an agreed programme
• Interacting with a multidisciplinary team of in-house architects, engineers, and project managers
• Investigating and utilising latest available technologies for designing energy efficient systems
• Working closely with the Head of Mechanical Section to expand and enhance the department’s capabilities

What do we need from you

• Member of professional engineering institution
• Appropriate engineering degree
• Discipline specific design experience
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the building services industry in the UK
• An interest in working on complex and challenging projects
• Organisational skills and attention to detail – identify a problem, collect xwzovoh data, establish the facts, draw valid conclusions on the way forward, communicate to the team
• Confident, with strong verbal communication skills and able to present solutions to the team and clients
• Flexible and adaptable approach – the work is a mix of desk and occasional client meetings, site visits
• Computer literate in MS Office software applications
• Must be familiar with Navisworks, Revit experience would be beneficial
• Valid full UK driving licence
