Manual Grinder Coventry Day Shift: 08:30am – 17:00pm + overtime Hours: 40 hours per week, full time Permanent position £16.00 - £18.00 per hour + overtime rates We are looking for an experienced Manual Grinder to join our precision engineering team. This is a hands-on role working across a range of high-quality manual grinding machinery, producing precision components to tight tolerances for a variety of industries. The Role You will be responsible for setting and operating a range of manual grinding machines, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities for the Manual Grinder * Set and operate manual grinding machines including Jones & Shipman Universal and Surface Grinders and Churchill Universal Grinder. * Grind components to fine tolerances and high surface finishes * Interpret and work from engineering drawings * Carry out wheel dressing and machine setup adjustments * Maintain a clean and organised working area * Work independently and as part of a skilled engineering team Candidate Requirements for the Manual Grinder * Previous experience operating manual grinding machines is essential * Experience with universal, cylindrical and surface grinding preferred * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Understanding of tolerances and inspection procedures * Self-motivated with a positive attitude toward teamwork and productivity We welcome applications for the Manual Grinder role from motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise within a professional manufacturing setting
