About the Business

I’m recruiting for my client, a leading advanced materials and polymer manufacturing business with a strong focus on product development and innovation.

Based at their Hillhouse site in Thornton-Cleveleys, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide additional project management capacity across a portfolio of complex projects.

The Role

This is an opportunity for a highly accomplished Project Manager to independently manage multiple cross-functional projects, taking them through defined stage-gate processes from initial planning through to implementation.

The client is ideally looking for someone with approximately 10 years’ project management experience, who has a strong track record of managing complex projects within a manufacturing, product development or similarly structured environment.

This is not a Project Engineer position. The priority is an experienced project management professional with strong planning, governance, stakeholder management and delivery capabilities.

Experience using APM project management methodologies and Microsoft Project is important, alongside the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them through established stage gates.

The position will require meaningful on-site presence, so applicants should be within practical commuting distance of Hillhouse.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage multiple complex cross-functional projects simultaneously.

*

Lead NPD, NPI and product-change projects through defined stage-gate processes.

*

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and delivery timelines using Microsoft Project.

*

Ensure projects follow appropriate governance and APM project management principles.

*

Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and actions.

*

Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and maintain effective communication.

*

Drive decisions, accountability and progress across project teams.

*

Monitor project performance and ensure delivery against agreed objectives.

*

Lead projects through to successful implementation.

About You

*

Ideally around 10 years’ experience in project management, with a strong track record of successful delivery.

*

Experienced Senior Project Manager or highly experienced Project Manager.

*

Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

*

Experience delivering NPD, NPI and/or product-change projects.

*

Strong understanding of project governance and stage-gate processes.

*

Experience with APM project management methodologies.

*

Proficient in Microsoft Project, including project planning and scheduling.

*

Excellent stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.

*

Confident managing project risks, issues, dependencies and timelines.

*

Able to drive actions, decisions and delivery across cross-functional teams.

Comfortable working on-site at Hillhouse, Thornton-Cleveleys
