The Role
We are looking for a People & Culture Officer who is part HR professional, part problem‑solver, and 100% people‑focused.
Your mission is to help make Comfort Care Services an employer of choice in the care sector.
You will be the bridge between organisational strategy and frontline reality, ensuring our teams feel supported, informed, and equipped to deliver outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day HR support, advice, and guidance to managers and frontline staff
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
* Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and data‑protection standards
* Assist with the implementation, communication, and adherence to HR policies and procedures
* Support HR projects, workforce initiatives, and continuous improvement activity
* Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and people‑centred workplace culture
* Participate in the on‑call rota as required
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar HR / People & Culture role
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
* Proactive, solution‑focused approach with a commitment to high standards
* Strong sense of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly
* CIPD qualification not required — working towards CIPD is desirable
* Willingness to participate in on‑call duties on a rota basis
* Must be a driver and hold, or be willing to upgrade to, business car insurance.
