A well-established Not for profit organisation in the North East is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join its finance team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who has gained ideally experience working within a not-for-profit environment to quickly integrate into a busy finance function and provide support across a range of financial activities.
Key Responsibilities;
Processing and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assisting with budget monitoring and financial reporting
Performing bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations
Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Assisting with grant funding and project expenditure monitoring where required
Resolving financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and administrative dutiesKnowledge & Skills;
Ideally previous experience working within a not-for-profit organisation
Experience operating within a transactional or management accounting environment
Strong knowledge of financial systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of stakeholdersWhat's on Offer?
