We are seeking a commercially oriented Legal Counsel with strong experience in commercial contracts and data privacy within the fintech or technology sector to join the Commercial Legal Team, Europe.
This role is open to candidates based in Spain, Italy, the UK, Malta or Germany.
The ideal candidate will support the company’s business growth by providing practical, risk‑aware legal advice while ensuring compliance with company’s policies and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including partnership and client contracts.
- Support the sales team by helping structure deals, enable innovation, and drive commercial initiatives while identifying legal risks and providing practical solutions.
- Provide data protection and privacy advice, including GDPR and other applicable frameworks.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders in the company.
- Develop templates, training materials and draft privacy related policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Law degree.
- 5+ years of experience practicing law in Europe, either at a Law Firm or as an in‑house counsel, preferably in a fintech, payments, or technology environment.
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, negotiations and data protection/privacy law (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA).
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a business‑focused approach.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Additional language proficiency in Spanish, Italian, German or other European language is a significant advantage.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, global environment.
