Known for attracting high calibre projects across transaction advisory, restructuring/debt advisory, forensics, financial advisory and real estate, conflicts are rare which ensures anyone joining the business will benefit from the variety of mandates they take on. The firm is well-invested (not by private equity) and growth has been healthily and sustainably organic, with the occasional strategic acquisition - CAGR at 19% for the last 5 years. They are proud of their consistently high retention and can cite frequent promotions to Partner across the business. The firm is seamless on cross-pillar activity and collaboration, so internal visibility can be a lot healthier here than in a more "silo'd" operation. Forensics operates a national service-line and is ranked consistently highly in Chambers. Their genuinely well-balanced offering includes:Contentious valuationsCommercial/contractual disputesTransaction disputesArbitration and mediationShareholder disputesContentious trusts and matrimonialForensic investigationsCompliance and risk advisoryA well-supported forensic technology functionThe team has a proper delivery pyramid, so Senior Manager/AD here really does mean you can delegate to a broad pool of analysts, newly quals, assistant managers and managers. If international expertise is required on a case, the firm is part of a very well-regarded Advisory specialist international group with highly complementary and adjacent service-lines and experts.Your new roleNotwithstanding the broad forensic offering above, this opening has a disputes and quantum focus. For example one of the Partners you'd be working closely with is known for particular depth in transaction forensics of acquisitions and disposals, so some of the time you'd be advising clients and their lawyers on the financial elements of transaction agreements, performing completion accounts reviews and representing clients in the dispute resolution process. Beyond this, you'll generally be leading complex engagements including litigation, arbitration and occasional advisory mandates such as during the pre‑litigation stage or during disclosure processes. The team also conducts occasional professional negligence work. It may be that on occasion you'd be asked to be part of an investigation project as well, but this remains predominantly an expert determination/quantum/loss of profits focus.Visibility within not just your own (substantial) team but across the firm will be high and mentoring for the route to Director, Expert and beyond will be freely available for those who want to continue up that trajectory.A full job specification is of course available. What you'll need to succeedACA/ equivalent accounting qualificationExperience to Senior Manager level in business valuations and complex quantum assessments The beginnings of a network, ie.what you would call "your" contacts, and first evidence of enquiries etc coming throughDesire to build business and people, alongside yourself!Seeing yourself as someone who treats clients (and colleagues) with a straightforward/no-nonsense, confident and pragmatic approachWhat you'll get in returnHeadquartered in the UK. This is where strategic decisions are made - not imposed on you from "across the pond!"Proper trajectory through to Director/Expert/PartnerWorking with one of the friendliest teams in the industryMentoring from a widely-respected staff partner (inter alia)A much broader range of disputes mandates than , for example, a firm which mainly focusses on international arbitration and contentious valuations...What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
