This opportunity would suit an experienced pharmaceutical or medical device sales professional looking to develop their career within a specialist therapeutic area.
Applications may also be considered from exceptional field sales professionals with highly transferable experience.
The role You will take ownership of the territory, develop priority accounts and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals across NHS and private hospitals, optometry, community pharmacies, ICBs and primary care.
Key responsibilities include: Achieving agreed territory sales targets.
Communicating the clinical and commercial value of the ophthalmology portfolio.
Developing and delivering an effective territory business plan.
Building relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.
Identifying and developing opportunities within priority accounts.
Maintaining strong product, customer and competitor knowledge.
Monitoring NHS and local market developments.
Managing your diary, customer database, call reporting and expenses.
Working in accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
Attending conferences, training and events, including occasional overnight stays.
About you The ideal candidate will have: Previous pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare sales experience.
A successful background in field sales, account management or business development.
Experience engaging with healthcare professionals and navigating NHS accounts.
Strong commercial, communication and influencing skills.
The ability to understand and confidently communicate clinical information.
A proactive, self-motivated and results-focused approach.
Strong territory planning and account development skills.
Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required.
A full, clean UK driving licence.
Ophthalmology experience, a degree and an ABPI qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.
