Area Sales Manager – Flooring & Interior Products Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Flooring & Interior Products (12 month Contract)

The role of the Area Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products will involve: ·

This role is for temporary maternity cover – 12 month contract ·

Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings / carpet tiles ·

Promoting multi-loop and low level loop carpet tiles as well as some ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll) ·

This is a transactional field sales role, with the majority of your time selling into flooring contractors (65%) ·

Remainder of time selling into architects and interior designers (A&D), but also: fit-out contractors, property developers, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management, local authorities and main contractors ·

Inheriting an area with a turnover of approx. £1m ·

New business position, although there will be a healthy project bank to inherit ·

Targeting commercial buildings such as office blocks as well as the education sector: schools, universities & colleges and a small amount of healthcare ·

Utilising ABI leads and in-house CRM database ·

Project sizes from 500m 2 , typically £10,000 upwards project value The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products with: ·

Must have a proven field sales track record, ideally selling into flooring contractors ·

Flooring/ carpet industry backgrounds preferred ·

Open to other interior products such as: wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning or furniture ·

Contacts within fit-out contractors, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management and local authorities are not essential ·

Specification sales experience with architects and interior designers (A&D) may be useful but not essential ·

Tactile sales background rather that technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related ·

Some knowledge of how sustainability is driving both the construction and interior market would be beneficial. ·
