You will be joining a well-established, values-driven residential childcare provider with over 60 homes across London, Peterborough, Northampton and Kent, alongside an independent specialist school for young people aged 819 with autism and learning difficulties.

About the Home
This is a Brand new 3-bed & 4-Bed home supports young people aged 1118 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) who may have experienced trauma, attachment disruption or instability. The focus is on providing a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment that promotes stability, healing and positive life progression whether that leads to reunification, foster care or independent living.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will provide strong, visible leadership and be responsible for the overall operation, compliance and performance of the home. You will create a calm, therapeutic and resilient environment where young people feel safe, valued and supported to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the home in full compliance with Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements
Provide emotionally intelligent leadership that sets the culture and standards of the home
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment
Champion the voice, rights and individual needs of young people
Lead, supervise, mentor and develop staff through coaching, reflective practice and QCF Level 3 support
Oversee care planning, safeguarding, risk management, staffing, budgets and operational development
Maintain high standards of health & safety and regulatory compliance
Work collaboratively with local authorities, commissioners and multi-agency professionals
Drive continuous improvement with the ambition to achieve and sustain Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
Promote independence, emotional wellbeing and life skills for young people
Essential Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
(Deputy Managers actively working towards Level 5 with a clear completion plan will be considered)
Significant experience in childrens residential care (EBD or similar)
Experience managing or supporting Ofsted inspections
Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to meet Ofsted Registered Manager suitability requirements
Experience supporting children with trauma, EBD or complex emotional needs
Knowledge of therapeutic, trauma-informed or attachment-focused approaches
Minimum 2 years residential childcare experience
Minimum 1 years supervisory or management experience
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Driving licence preferred
