ASD TA - Basingstoke
ASAP Start | £85-£105 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them achieve their potential? A welcoming and inclusive school in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated ASD TA to join its supportive team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ASD TA to gain valuable experience while providing personalised support that helps pupils feel confident, included and engaged throughout their school day.
The Role
As an ASD TA, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with autism.
Assist with personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
Support pupils during lessons, activities and daily school routines.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social development.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support team.
Help maintain a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
About You
The ideal ASD TA will have:
A caring, patient and proactive approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
Flexibility and resilience when responding to individual needs.
Previous experience working with children with autism or within a school environment is desirable, but not essential.
