You will work closely with senior lawyers while taking ownership of your own matters and key work streams, supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.Your new roleManage complex and high-value professional indemnity and insurance disputes.Defend professionals against negligence and liability claims.Advise on policy interpretation and complex insurance coverage disputes.Work on multi-party and technically complex litigation.Undertake professional regulatory and disciplinary defence work.Act directly for insurers, reinsurers and their insureds.Take ownership of matters and maintain direct relationships with clients.Supervise and develop junior lawyers within the team.Work closely with Partners on larger and strategically important matters.Contribute to business development, client engagement and the wider growth of the practice.What you'll need to succeedYou will ideally be a solicitor with 5+ years' PQE or have equivalent experience gained within a strong insurance, professional indemnity or disputes practice.You should have:Strong experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation and/or complex coverage disputes.Experience dealing with complex and high-value contentious matters.Experience acting for insurers, reinsurers and/or insured professionals.The ability to independently manage matters with appropriate senior support.Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills.Excellent commercial judgement and client management skills.Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.A proactive approach to business development and building client relationships.Professional negligence experience involving the construction sector would be particularly beneficial, including claims involving professionals such as architects, engineers, surveyors, consultants or other construction professionals.Candidates with particularly strong expertise in an area of insurance coverage alongside broader professional indemnity experience are also of interest.What you'll get in returnYou'll join an established national insurance disputes practice handling sophisticated and high-value work for leading insurance sector clients.The role offers:A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.High-quality professional indemnity and insurance disputes work.Exposure to complex, multi-party and high-value claims.The opportunity to work directly with insurer and reinsurer clients.A high degree of autonomy and client responsibility.Supervisory and mentoring responsibilities.The opportunity to build your own profile within the insurance market.Significant involvement in business development and practice growth.Scope to develop new and adjacent areas of work.Flexible working and long-term career progression. xwzovoh What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
