Senior Transport Planner

Senior Transport Planner Croydon Area £35,000+ per annum | Monday to Friday | Permanent Role Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy and professionally managed logistics operation based in the Croydon area. This is a key position within the transport team and would suit somebody with strong planning experience who is confident managing a fast-paced operation while maintaining high standards across compliance, communication and organisation. This is not an entry-level role. Previous transport planning experience is essential and the business is looking for somebody capable of bringing structure, reliability and strong operational awareness into the team. Working Hours * Monday to Friday * 07:00 – 17:00 * Full-time permanent position The Role * Planning and coordinating daily transport operations * Allocating routes and workloads efficiently * Managing driver schedules and vehicle availability * Communicating with drivers, customers and operational teams throughout the day * Supporting compliance with Drivers’ Hours and transport legislation * Managing operational issues calmly and professionally * Liaising with workshop teams regarding defects and maintenance scheduling * Maintaining accurate transport records and operational systems * Supporting improvements across operational processes and efficiencies Requirements * Previous Transport Planner experience essential * Strong geographical knowledge * Good understanding of transport compliance and Drivers’ Hours rules * Experience using transport planning systems * Ability to work well under pressure within a busy transport office * Excellent organisational and communication skills * Professional and solution-focused approach The business is specifically looking for somebody experienced, dependable and capable of operating confidently within a demanding transport environment.
