Job Title: Temporary Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Central Commercial Office Building

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Duration: Ongoing temporary contract (immediate start available)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an established on-site facilities team covering a high-spec commercial office building.

In this role, you will take responsibility for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the site's mechanical, HVAC, and building services systems-ensuring plant efficiency, tenant comfort, and full statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across all mechanical plant and HVAC equipment.

• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tickets, tenant temperature complaints, and plant alarms.

• Conduct fault finding, routine servicing, and minor repairs on Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), pumps, motors, and calorifiers.

• Monitor, adjust, and log readings from the Building Management System (BMS).
