About the role

You will be joining a well-established and highly respected Tier 1 civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure and heavy civils projects. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor has a strong pipeline of work across a multitude of different sectors and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader in the industry and, as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of civil engineering projects, with an initial scheme located in Stoke-on-Trent, supported from the Tamworth office on a hybrid basis. Managing ongoing cost analysis, including maintenance and repair works Evaluating subcontractor quotations and managing procurement processes Preparing and agreeing variations, interim valuations and final accounts Issuing payment certifications to subcontractors Identifying and mitigating commercial risks Ensuring all activities meet quality, safety and environmental standards This is a varied and dynamic role offering exposure to all aspects of project commercial management within a collaborative team environment. To excel in this role, you will bring: Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent Proven working knowledge of NEC form of contract Sound commercial awareness and numerical capability Full UK driving licence and be willing to travel regionally.
