Mechanical Design Engineer

We’re partnering with an innovative, rapidly growing company in Cambridge that is expanding its Mechanical Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of both new and existing products — from concept through to prototype and manufacture. What you’ll be doing You’ll be involved across the full product development process, including: Designing mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing products Creating detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings Supporting prototype builds and hands-on development Producing documentation for both prototype and volume manufacture Applying DFM (Design for Manufacture) principles to your designs Working closely with electrical and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated products Using mechanical analysis tools to support robust design decisions What we’re looking for We’d love to hear from Mechanical Engineers with: 2+ years’ industry experience in mechanical or product design Strong experience designing mechanical components and assemblies Knowledge of electrical integration A good understanding of DFM principles Experience with 3D CAD modelling and mechanical analysis tools Strong communication and problem-solving skills A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and product development  Apply today or contact Gemma directly for a confidential conversation about the opportunity.
