SEND Teaching Assistant

Zest Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Handsworth that is seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially. The Role * Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND * Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons * Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs * Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing * Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment * Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff Requirements * Previous experience working with children in a school setting * Experience supporting children with SEND is essential * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * A patient, caring, and adaptable appr...
