SEN Teaching Assistant | Full-time Monday to Friday (8:30am–4pm) | Southeast London | £93–£105 per day PAYE | ASAP Start Are you the kind of person who walks into a classroom and immediately wants to make a difference? Ortus Recruitment is partnering with mainstream and SEN specialist schools in Southeast London to find a committed Teaching Assistant who is happy working 1:1 with SEN pupils, supporting small groups, or as a general classroom TA. We’ll match you to the right school and setting based on your experience. The Role As a Teaching Assistant you will: * Provide 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, building trust and helping them access learning in a way that works for them * Support small group interventions and assist the class teacher with planning, delivery and resources * Help create an inclusive, stimulating and safe classroom environment * Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents * Support children’s emotional, social and academic development throughout the school day Placements are available in both mainstream primary schools and SEN specialist schools — so whether you have experience across complex needs, SEMH, autism or general learning difficulties, we want to hear from you.
