Project Manager

Hays Technology is working with an established public sector organisation in Gloucestershire undergoing a significant digital transformation programme across several of its core business systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join an in-flight programme and provide the structure, leadership and momentum required to drive it through its next phase of delivery.

Your new role

As Interim Project Manager, you will take ownership of an existing digital transformation project, quickly assess its current position and establish a clear route through to successful delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and change control
Coordinating internal SMEs and external suppliers
Providing clear reporting and assurance to the Project Board
Driving actions, decisions and key deliverables through to completion
Supporting implementation, organisational readiness and transition into BAU
Providing direction and support to the Data Migration AnalystThe programme involves Sage Intacct, Re-Leased, systems integrations and data migration, with further consideration of Salesforce and ArcGIS. Experience with these business systems is useful.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in digital transformation and systems implementation.
You'll need to demonstrate:

Experience taking ownership of complex, in-flight projects
Strong project governance, planning and risk management skills
Experience managing senior stakeholders, SMEs and third-party suppliers
The ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous environments
A pragmatic, collaborative and delivery-focused approach
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
What you'll get in return

You'll receive an indicative rate of up to £475 per day inside IR35 for an initial 12-week contract, working approximately 2/3 days per week. The position offers hybrid working with at least one day per week required on-site.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a significant transformation project at a critical stage and make a tangible impact on its successful delivery.
