Teaching Assistant – Maths & Sport

Location: South London Contract: Full-time, 1-year temporary contract with potential to become permanent Start Date: ASAP Strategy Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision setting in South London. We are looking for someone with a strong Maths background who also has a genuine interest or experience in Sport. The successful candidate will support students across KS3 and KS4, providing classroom and individual support and helping students to engage positively with their education. Previous experience working with young people is essential, with experience in Maths tutoring, sports coaching, mentoring or a school environment highly desirable. The successful candidate will have: * A strong background in Maths, with the ability to support KS3 and KS4 students * A background in Sport, ideally through coaching, education or practical experience * Experience working with or supporting young people * The ability to build positive relationships with students * A patient, resilient and supportive approach * The confidence to work within an Alternative Provision environment * Excellent communication and behaviour management skills The role offers: * Full-time, Monday to Friday position * ASAP start * Initial 1-year temporary contract * Potential for the role to become permanent * Opportunity to gain valuable experience within Alternative Provision * The chance to make a genuine difference to young people's education and engagement If you have a strong Maths and Sport background and are looking for a full-time opportunity working with young people, we would be keen to hear from you.
