Job SummarySenior AccountantFlex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Accountant located in Kendal.What a typical day looks like: Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.Ensure accurate accounting and reporting in compliance with UK and US GAAP requirements.Manage intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and related payments across multiple entities.Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and communicate financial results to management.Oversee fixed asset accounting, inventory valuation, and coordinate annual stock take activities.Generate and analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance processes and controls.Support tax compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable financial regulations.Contribute to key finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and process improvement projects.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate finance environment; manufacturing industry experience would be a strong advantage.Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, month-end close processes, and balance sheet management.Experience with financial reporting under UK GAAP (and US GAAP).Part-qualified, finalist, or fully qualified professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive continuous process improvements.What you’ll receive for the great work you provide: An environment where you will feel fulfilled by your work, valued for your contribution, and celebrated for your success;A competitive salary and benefits package which includes:A merit-based annual pay reviewEnhanced annual leaveEmployee recognition scheme and long service awardsReferral bonusVolunteer daysGroup Life Insurance, including a death in service payment and access to a virtual GP service 24/7 365 days a yearSick pay schemeCycle to Work schemeEnhanced maternity/paternity leaveFlexible/Remote/Hybrid Work based on your Job FunctionTravel opportunities (role dependent)Support in your well-being by access toEmployee Assistance Programme offering free access to qualified counsellors and expert adviceOn-site trained Mental Health First AidersAccess to various discount programs (including food, activities, gym memberships etc.)At Flex, we welcome people of all backgrounds.
