Technical Buyer

Our client, an industry leader in its sector, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Technical Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services to support business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner to support demand Ensuring materials arrive on the purchase order required date Maintaining supplier details on the ERP system Building solid working relationships with suppliers Monitoring performance and managing improvements Keeping PO delivery dates current on SAP Collaborating with the Supply Chain team to manage core suppliers in specialized commodity groups Carrying out tasks and duties as required by Senior Management Job Requirements: Experience as a Senior Buyer or Buyer Competency in using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word & Outlook Experience with ERP systems Experience in a manufacturing environment Competency in one or more of these commodity groups: Engines and Mechanicals, Composites Ability to read technical drawings and understand technical data Professional and entrepreneurial attitude Excellent communication and assertiveness skills Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet multiple project deadlines Personal Qualities/Attributes: Desire to develop new skills and experiences Good business acumen Problem-solving ability Assertiveness Analytical approach to decision-making Effective communication, including active listening skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Prepared to work in a close-knit team
